Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
I don’t know about you, but somehow summer has snuck up from behind the clouds. Suddenly it feels like the summer heat is here and I’m in need of a major thirst quencher—for my hair! Summer is the best time to switch it up so here are my 4 hydrating hair products I think you should have in your shower this summer.
About a month ago or so I decided I didn’t want to continue to use Shampoos with moisture stripping sulfates in them. In fact I made a vow to be more diligent about caring for my natural curly hair and preventing additional damage due to coloring or using heat tools.
I straighten my hair once a week and dye my roots about every month or so. And if I’m honest I don’t put nearly as much effort in making sure my hair is healthy as I do straightening it. Last month however, I did get a much needed trim so that I could start growing it healthy again. Down below are some hair products I’ve been really loving this past month for making sure my hair is drinking up lots of moisture.
As I Am Cowash – Coconut Cowash
If you haven’t already discovered the magic of this Co-Wash then you need to try it now. I’m obsessed with it as my shampoo replacement. It feels good to know that my hair is not only clean, but it isn’t stripped of moisture either. As I Am Coconut CoWash
Shea Moisture – Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque
I love this masque treatment and will use it with a blow dryer for optimal moisture. I try to leave it on my hair for as long as possible. Shea Moisture- Deep Treatment Mask
Acure – Mega Moisture
On days that I want a real clarifying shampo I’ll use Acure vegan friendly Mega Moisture shampoo. I find that my hair feels super clean but still full of moisture. Acure – Mega Moisture
Nexxus – Caviar Complex
I still love the Nexxus Caviar Complex and feel that it’s got the best slick for de tangling and is so incredibly enjoyable to use. My hair feels unbelievably silky after. If you want to check out my thoughts on their hydrating hair mask, check it out here.
