5 Beauty Hacks To Get Your Face Camera Ready Fast

5 Beauty Hacks To Get Your Face Camera Ready Fast

Had a late night and now you need to get ready for that zoom meeting? No problem, here are 5 beauty hacks using household items to banish any signs of that you’ve had a long night!

If you have a sleeping schedule that’s a lot like mine, then you have NO sleeping schedule. Maybe you’re a supermom who has her day completely packed with no time to rest. Maybe you’re working woman who’s got a schedule full of tasks that require your attention. What late nights usually look like for me is sitting myself in front of the computer for hours on end. If I’m not working away at my hustle, then I’m captivated by some new Hulu series. It’s a terrible habit that I should’ve broken after college, but I often go to sleep late.

Late nights typically mean I am more likely to get a snack. And definitely not a healthy snack. Is it just me or does anyone else have a craving for something savory late at night? You know what that means…salt…and a bloated face in the morning. Great.

So after I’ve worked as hard as I can for the day and I’ve watched everything that the internet has to offer, it’s time for bed. My body is tired, my brain is tired and I know come the next morning my face is going to look TIRED! Looking exhausted on the job isn’t a good look if you want to come across like you’re ready to work! So since I myself have mastered the late night saving face–I thought I’d share these fast and easy beauty hacks!

#1 Beauty Hack To De-bloat Face

#1 Jade Roller + Lymphatic Drainage

#2 Bowl of Ice + Cold Water

There are a lot of reasons why you would wake up to a bloated face. A puffy face can be due to water retention, too much sodium in your diet, etc. A good way to reduce your swollen face is with lymphatic drainage massage.

My favorite way to do that is with a cold jade roller, you can even use a gua sha stone. I love to keep mine in the fridge so it’s ready to go in the morning.

Another puffy face cure for those early morning zoom calls is to fill a large bowl full of ice and cold water and stick your face in it for a good 30 seconds. If that doesn’t perk you right up I don’t know what will.

#2 Beauty Hack for Dry Flaky Skin Spots

#1 Sugar + Olive Oil Scrub

#2 Banana + Honey Mask

Dry skin isn’t always the most visible but it can it can also lead to lackluster skin. It also doesn’t feel great.

One of my favorite beauty hacks to quickly remedy dry flaky skin spots is a sugar and olive oil scrub, coconut oil works just as well too. Sugar is fine enough that it’s effective, but not abrasive so it works well to delicately get rid of those dead skin cells leaving fresher skin underneath.

Olive oil is not only known to kill bacteria, but it’s also super hydrating. I love this quick scrub! I especially love to use this on my dry lips during the colder months and seal at the end with petroleum jelly. Works like a charm!

The other thing I love to do to remedy dry skin is an easy hydrating face masks. Both bananas and honey can be incredibly hydrating ingredients to use for face masks and for the skin so this is an easy mask to whip up. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing.

#3 Beauty Hack for Dull Skin

#1 Mix a few drops of liquid highlighter + moisturizer

# 2 Mix a few drops of facial oil + moisturizer

When your skin isn’t feeling it’s best, it shows. The skin is the largest organ after all. Be it stress, exhaustion, dehydration, or maybe just not enough vitamin D, you skin can end up looking a little sallow.

There are things you can definitely do to improve your dull skin, and while Vitamin C is excellent for brightening up your skin, it may not work fast enough for what we need. But for a quick fix for dull to glowing skin I love to mix my favorite liquid highlighter with my moisturizer.

I happen to know for a fact that this is a makeup artist secret weapon for dull skin. And I’m certainly no makeup artist, but I do know that glowy almost wet skin like dewiness is one of many skincare beauty hacks that I love.

The other thing I sometimes do is add just a little bit of my favorite facial oil. Both ways you’ll get a much natural radiant glow that doesn’t require a ton of makeup.

#4 Beauty Hack for Unsightly Blackheads

#1 Egg white (1 egg)

#2 cup of Steamed Milk + 1 Tbsp Agar Agar Powder/Gelatin

Sometimes somethings can’t be masked light those pesky blackheads.

But with a 20 minute blackhead clearing egg white mask you can clarify those pores easily! The ease alone makes this one of my favorite beauty hacks and one that is a common favorite.

The other option is mixing some gelatin powder or agar agar powder if you have it–in a bowl of hot milk. Stir until the mixture starts to thicken and apply once it’s at a comfortable temperature. Leave it on for a good 15-20 minutes. This mask will get rid of those blackheads and make your skin feel super soft.

#5 Beauty Hacks for Tired Eyes

#1 Two Cold Cucumber Slices

#2 Two Tea Bags of Chamomile Tea

If there are any telltale signs of exhaustion for me it would be my tired eyes. The dark circles, the dryness–tired eyes are a for sure give away that I’ve had a long night. And unfortunately no eye cream is going to remedy this in a pinch. However, if you’re looking for ways to soothe tired eyes naturally then we’ve got just the trick.

Cucumber slices are one of my favorite fast acting ways to restore moisture in that area. They’re also very soothing remedies for dry eyes. Dehydration can be a big contributor to dark circles. And so since cucumbers are high in water content, they’re super hydrating for the thin skin underneath your eyes. Not to mention the coolness from being in the fridge helps with depuffing and is definitely a game changer.

Dark circles are also a problem for me and Chamomile tea is a great way to tackle this. Chamomile not only has the ability to help decrease dark circles but when your teabags are cooled they could also help reduce puffiness. However, any tea will do! Green tea or black tea contain enough caffeine to help re-energize the skin around your eyes.

I hope you enjoyed these five beauty secrets to save time and get your face ready for that Zoom conference call! Beauty products and makeup application can be great on their own, but sometimes they’re aren’t what you need to freshen up quick. But these beauty hacks are life changing and they’re total game changers for anyone needing to quickly get it together for that video conference.
