Ever wondered how some women look fresh to death right off a fight? Well I’m willing to bet they’ve got their beauty essentials for travel perfected. For the past few years or so carry-on luggage has been the only way I travel. As a matter of fact, I like to think of myself as someone who travels efficiently. However, being efficient is all relative I guess, especially when it comes to we women. Yet each time I travel my packing skills have been more and more finite and I’m finding it easier to consolidate the essentials.
Multi-Destination Trippin
This time around for my one week trip to New York, Sweden and Denmark– I’m not struggling to pack multiple outfits in my suitcase. Funnily enough the real test for me is trying to fit everything I need for my flights and the trip into my one personal handbag.
Usually the only things I pack in my handbag tends to be money, my passport, my phone, skincare and some makeup. If I can get away including all the products I will need on this trip in my personal handbag then I won’t have to fuss with undoing my suitcase in the airport security check, on the flight or worse later in the airport bathroom floor. I want to land and hit the ground running looking great! That’s why it was imperative that I packed my beauty essentials for travel. Oh by the way you can click on this link here to check out one of my travel posts of Sweden.
Skin Care Essentials
Skin care is absolutely essential to me and I know the first leg of this trip will be a short 5 hour flight to New York, so prepping and pampering my skin amidst recycled dry cabin air is important. Here’s a list of skincare items I will be taking:
– Pop Leaf Sonic Mini
– Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash
– Burt’s Bees Hydrating Overnight Mask
– Cosmedica Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum
– BioRepublic Lost Baggage Eye Mask
– The Beauty Foundry Retinol Beauty Oil
– Andalou Naturals CannaCell Pressed Serum
– Andalou Naturals Ultra Sheer Daily Defense Spf 18
– Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
– Summers Eve Cleansing Cloth On The Go
– Air Optix Spare Contacts
– Kiehls Creme De Corps Packet
– Dove Deodorant Spray
– Toothpaste/Toothbrush
In-flight Essentials
Secondly along with my money and passport, and a snazzy water bottle– there are a few essentials I’ve determined that I need to always have on a flight given the airline does not provide them. Earbuds with an auxiliary jax because you never know which airlines have entertainment on deck. There’s nothing worse then having to pay for the cheap ones onboard. Another must for me is an eye mask to catch some shut eye for that early or late flight! You may not think you need to sleep, but trust me it’s necessary. I also carry hand sanitizer, some gum and napkins.
Makeup Must Haves
And lastly, as were about to land, I make sure to pack my essential everyday makeup bits for a great simple but fresh well-rested look. Here’s a list of products I’m packing to make me feel beautiful straight out the gate:
– Maybelline Pore Eraser
– Colab Concealer
– Coverfix Concealer
– Nars Matte Concealer
– Wet n Wild Contour
-Makeup Revolution Banana Powder
– Physicians Formula Blush
– Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector
– Huda Beauty Matte Lipstick
– Nicole Miller Matte Black Eyeliner
– L’oreal Brow Stylist Define
– Clinique High Impact Mascara
– Lancome Rollerball Trésor
I hope that helped you think about what you may or may not need on the actual flight. I know that I use to get so annoyed forgetting things on long haul flights, but now I’ve got it down to an art! If you’re interested in the clear makeup bags I found some similar ones here at Target.
