Following a very indulgent Korean BBQ work luncheon last week, a couple of girls and I decided to do a week long cleanse. I’m not use to that much food all in one setting as delicious as it was, but I am the type to eat often so this cleanse will be an interesting one as there will be only juices, smoothies, and nuts for a snack. If any of us three decide to cave before the week is up, that person forks up some cash. Not big money on the line, but still it’ll be interesting to see which one of us caves first if any. If everyone makes it to the end of the week–the end of our Friday workday to be exact–then no one loses any money and we potentially drop a few pounds.
I’m not sure if I regret that decision just yet, this is Day one and so far I’m doing ok. So I thought it would be a good idea to keep track of exactly what it is that I’m consuming. So far it’s the end of the workday, approximately 4 o’clock and the nuts have kept me going. I feel a slight drop in energy, but still ok. I’m also without my beloved caffeine.
Cleansing or detox juicing has been trending for quite a few years now and I know that a lot of places offer some fairly pricey programs, but we are all doing things different so it’ll also be interesting to see how much each of us spends also.
My lunch smoothies/juices will vary because I’ll either go to Jamba Juice or the local grocery store which I don’t plan on spending more than $3-5 per juice. However, my grocery list for breakfast and dinner is as follows:
3 Small Bags of frozen peaches
1 small bag of frozen tropical fruit medley smoothie package
1 small bag of frozen berry blast
smoothie package
Mixed Nuts
Bag of small spinach
Almond Milk Vanilla
6 6oz cans of Pineapple Juice
