If you are a noodle lover and have been looking for a quick low carb easy noodle recipe for dinner, you’ve come to the right place! I have had a love affair with noodles and more recently Shirataki noodles ever since I discovered them. Shirataki noodles take little to no time to prep, making this a fast low carb easy recipe for dinner. Check out today’s recipe!

What Are Shirataki Noodles Made Of?

So, let’s first talk about what Shirataki noodles are. They are mostly comprised of water and soluble fiber. This fiber is known as glucomannan and it’s a super low-carb noodle, damn near zero in fact. Not only are these noodles known to curb your appetite, but they also aide in digestion. They’re also vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and grain-free! A perfect staple for any vegetarian noodle dish! (The recipe down below does call for tofu which is soy, but the noodles themselves are soy-free).

The noodles are sort of gelatinous looking and somewhat translucent. These noodles are often referred to as miracle noodles or wonder noodles. In my opinion, they are much more enjoyable in texture than any veggie noodle I have ever had. They are a completely vegan and plant based product and a highly popularized Japanese food. They are not only a low-carb noodle alternative that I’ve found, but they are also gluten-free for anyone with gluten allergies and they are AIP compliant.

Easy and Delicious Plant Based Recipes

Shirataki noodles are my go to for a low-carb, keto friendly, healthy, but indulgent meal. Especially when I’m starving, but don’t want to spend so much time slaving away in the kitchen. Now while they don’t exactly have much of a taste, a lot like tofu they can take on wonderful flavoring with the use of spices and seasonings. Down below I’ll show you one of my favorite quick and fast low carb dinner recipe. Not only is this a delicious meal, but it’s totally guilt-free and easy to whip up in no time at all! Shirataki noodles have become a staple in my fridge when I’m craving a quick low carb meal. So noodle lovers, you are welcome!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of broccoli florets
  • Garlic Powder
  • Black Pepper

Cook Time: 10-15 Minutes

  • I’ll start off with cooking the tofu first since the pasta will take no time at all. First drain the water from the tofu as much as possible. The starter kit includes tofu that is already cut up into cubes which is helpful. Add some vegetable oil or oil of your choice and cook the tofu until it’s a bit golden and toasty all around.
  • Add your broccoli or other veggies you want to add.
  • Drain the water from your Miracle Noodle package and place the noodles into a strainer or bowl and rinse the noodles at least three times.
  • Add the sauce packet that came in your tofu kit to the skillet . Next add the noodles along with the garlic and black pepper seasoning.
  • The noodles don’t need long so cook for five minutes and you are ready to serve yourself!
