Staying fit isn’t an easy task unless you’re naturally gifted with amazing genes. I’m not so it really takes a little bit more effort for me to push myself.
Luckily numbers drive me further at least where continuing to try and get fit is concerned. Calories, distance, etc— I just need a number to hit. I was also lucky to get a Fitbit Flex which tracks all of your activity like steps, distance, calories burn- even the estimated calorie burn when you sleep! That one I didn’t know about. The little lights on the wristband indicate how close you are to meeting your goal for the day. When you’ve met your goal the wristband vibrates and you get a celebration of confetti on your app!
The Fitbit also tracks your sleep as well and nuances like whether or not you were restless throughout your sleep. It’s waterproof and also has a five day battery life which is great and it takes little to no time to get a full charge. Downloading the app allows you to see your activity for yourself and you can even log other things like food and water intake.
So far I’ve hit my 10k step goal just about every day which is really motivating. I try to meet my goal daily by getting up to walk more often then I’ve done previously. And it’s especially nice during the work week when I need to get away from my desk. Walks make the breather much more refreshing.
So in short, it’s been great having this new accessory of mine. Which by the way is interchangeable. You can change the wrist band and even put it in a necklace if you want. For now I think I prefer my slim wristband. Check out some of my other posts on this never ending goal towards getting my ultimate fit body.
