2020 New Years Manifestations

2020 New Years Manifestations

So it’s the new year and you know what time it is. Time to visualize the reality we want and map out our dreams. Manifestations. This year I decided to take a page out of one of my favorite bloggers book Sivan Ayala —and put together my own little digital vision board. I don’t want to mindlessly set resolutions, I want to manifest the future that I want in 2020.

While I’m getting better at putting pen to paper every year, I feel as though visualization has actually been such an impactful factor for creating intention for me. Speaking from personal experience, I do believe that when you have a vision or goal of what it is that you want, seeing it in front of you often can lead to the next steps in inspiring an action plan.

While there is a daunting list of things I want to accomplish this year, the 3 Umbrella goals (all those little things on the list fit in here) –I would like to visualize in 2020:

thoughtful styling

You know for a long as I can remember, I’ve always been passionate and excited about the act of self expression. How I’ve always envisioned that was through styling some outfits for fun or dreaming up a beautiful space where I’d live one day. But it’s was always…oh one day. As the days turned into weeks, months, years–I realize that I’ve spent so much time putting no thought, no passion, or excitement in it in my actual day to day. How boring. Life is too short to walk around everyday feeling like I’m wearing a potato sack or coming home to a space that doesn’t make me feel happy. I want to really start being more thoughtful of my own form of self expression. I want to elevate my sense of style in a way that feels like me and makes me feel good. I actually started my intention in 2019 and weirdly enough I see it happening.

health & wellness

I’m really happy about the fact that this is another vision that I’m continuing to act on in the new year. One thing that I learned in 2019 that I would like to bring with me into the new year is focusing more on my overall well being and mental health. In 2019 I got into Bikram Yoga and it has been transformative in a way that I feel like, now that I’ve learned how to really focus on my state of mind and being –I can’t really unlearn that. And my mind keeps wanting to go back to checking in with how I’m doing. Bikram has not only been a great new addition to my fitness regimen, but it’s been a practice that I find I need at the end of the week. In 2020 I want to continue to develop healthy habits like staying active and taking care of my energy and overall mental health which in turn effects everything else I do.

hustle & grind

I think this will ultimately be my greatest feat. I’ve always had visions of being successfully self-employed. I’ve wanted to create my own path as an entrepreneur for so long now that at times it’s felt fleeting and unattainable. In reality, I am the kind of person that has a vision and needs to make it real and so in that sense I always attempt the things I want to accomplish. In 2015 I decided I wanted to make candles and call my candle company Jipsē where the scents that I create have a story that tell of my travels down to the crafted fragrance oils. I did that, created an online shop, even did a vendor show! It was great. And then I put it on the back burner. In 2018, I tried my hand at creating a blog of all the things I like, fashion, travel, beauty etc. And actually I had a great flow for a while, but have felt unmotivated at times even though I started doing it because I enjoyed it.

In 2019, a goal I actually set in 2018– was to get my Notary commission so that I could slowly develop some path of independence that would eventually allow me to work for myself, build a brand with Jipse and create more content on my blog that I enjoy. I want to see this vision all the way through and so the intention that I want to give it this time is my full attention. I want 2020 to be the year where real progress is made in this part of my life and I intend to see this vision manifested!
