I’ll start off by saying that retail season just got real! I’m not usually someone who keeps up with seasonal fashion trends. But I’ve been doing some retail therapy lately and have been noticing some trends. Retail stores, at least some of the more popular stores can often give a preview of what’s about to become real popular. And so far Summer of 2019 has made me obsessed with a few that have hit the retail runway and I just can’t not look.
The Crop Top
One of the possibly more subtle trends I’ve noticed all of over social media, has been the square almost sweetheart neckline. I find this to be an incredibly flattering on just about anyone. These pictures don’t do it justice, but I love tops like these that show off my decolletage and accentuate the shoulder area a tad.
The next trend I’ve been seeing in just about every fashionista is the puffy sleeve. This isn’t usual something I would wear because often times shoulder pads and big sleeves make me my petite frame look ridiculous. But there were a couple of tops that I stumbled upon that finally didn’t look too crazy on me. The first top is a sort of linen like material that feels perfect for summer and I love the ruching and print on the second blouse. Yes there is a crop top theme going on here, but hey summer.
90’s Minimal Sandals
I never thought I’d ever wear a kitten heel, but open toe season is on full blast this summer and I’m living for this trend. It might just be me, but I feel like the strappy minimal sandals are sort of a nod to the 90’s and I am so into it. Also the low chunky heel and the kitten heel…so 90’s. Yes and yes please!
Pop Of Color
If you aren’t sporting a bright Orange bag this summer, are you really even living your best fashion life in 2019? Well I was compelled to buy this bag the moment I saw it and if you didn’t already know bright orange along with some other brights are everywhere. This particular color I find so easy to team up with so many different outfits and I can’t wait to wear it.
