Two Words: Hydrate & Glow — Lumene

Two Words: Hydrate & Glow — Lumene

I thought I’d take the opportunity to review a couple of products I’ve incorporated into my skin care regimen recently. In the same vein as my last post these are Scandi related.

In fact I’ve always had my eye on Lumene products and found them to be the more luxe of the budget buys. I decided to try out a couple of things from this range that I needed which was something for eyes and a serum since I ran out of my Vitamin C serum.

What drew me immediately to the Valo Glow Boost Essence was that it was an essence that contained both a Vitamin C and Hylauronic Acids. Containing cloudberry extracts and Vitamin C this essence claims to deliver both hydration and glow giving you the appearance of more radiant looking skin. After my cleanse, I apply half a dropper full of this essence and smooth it over my face and neck. After that I apply a moisturizer and a light face oil and that’s pretty much my routine in the evening.

In the morning I’ll add a moisturizer with an spf instead at the end. I noticed upon first use the following morning that my skin looked wonderful! I definitely had a glow about my skin and I sincerely feel that I do every time I use this. The consistency of the this feels much like many essences feel and is slightly sticky to the touch, but that goes away when it absorbs into the skin and I feel that it does so beautifully. For someone with a dry skin type the hydration after applying the serum feels good, but I do always follow with a moisturizer or oil.

The second thing I have to review is the Purity Dew Drops Hydrating Eye Gel. To be honest it’s really hard not to be sold on the pure Arctic Spring Water that is suppose to gently hydrate the skin around the eyes and make you look more awake. Well I don’t know about any of that, but it is a nice hydrating and cooling eye gel. I am more of an eye cream user and not so much the gels, but this one feels really nice in the mornings when I’m still struggling to wake up I just pop this in the freezer while I’m waiting for my coffee. It’s doesn’t mess with my eye makeup either. It’s not my favorite eye product, but it performs exactly as I would expect an eye gel would. Whether it reduces my dark circles time will tell. So far Lumene is a great brand and I look forward to trying more from the range.
