2019 New Year, Same You?

2019 New Year, Same You?

So it’s another new year and I kind of feel like doing something different this time around. As far as beginning anew, like everyone else I tend to focus on the idea of becoming what I currently am not or acquiring that which I don’t have. Get more fit. Make more money. Find a new career. Make new friends. Etcetera.

What I actually want to do this in this new year is kind of the opposite actually. I sort of want a lot more of the same to be honest. Shock horror I know, but consider this. What about the idea of being and having more of the great things that were in 2018? What about loving and appreciating the amazing things about ourselves?

Visualize What You Want

For instance I discovered something about myself this year and that is that I have a passion and appreciation celebrating experiences. For me that  came in many different forms. Whether it’s creating a candle business shaped from my travels abroad or planning a get together and even building this blog–I’ve thoroughly enjoyed planning and designing and creating something memorable. I describe it as having a vision in my head and the intense desire to actualize it.

In With The Old, Out With The New

I want to continue being creative in all areas of my life. The previous two years I was pretty in tune with my creativity when it came to building a candle business. Then that sort of slowed down. Last year I was extremely into building a blog space I loved and being able to design a space I would love to share with like minded individuals. Then that excitement died down too.

So I’ve decided I want to continue being an excited, creative and passionate individual since this is currently the realm that makes me very happy. I think in those things I’ll find success and fulfillment along the way as opposed to constantly trying to start a new in something that doesn’t come natural.

I’d love to hear your ideas or thoughts on the new year. What do you want to change or what would you like to have or be more of?
