For the past few weeks I’ve been going natural. And no I’m not talking about my hair this time, I’m talking about my skin care! Check out my natural skin care brand review!
To be completely frank, I haven’t always been so critical of my skin care products and their ingredients until probably the last year or so. I think the older you get and the more reactive your body is certain things, or even just becoming conscious of what we put in and on our bodies–is enough to turn your head to more natural ingredients.
Go Natural Because It Works
For me the one that thing sort of made me shy away from brands that lean to the more natural side of the spectrum, has always been effectiveness. In my mind natural meant not effective. So while there were brands in the back of my mind that I wanted to try, I never really bit the bullet. I was really quite surprised and excited when Andalou Naturals reached out to me and sent me some products to try.
The first box of goodies I received was from their Age Defying Collection targeted for dry and very dry skin. I received their Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk, Blossom + Leaf Toning Refresher, BioActive Berry Fruit Enzyme Mask, Fruit Stem Cell Revitalize Serum, Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream, Ultra Sheer Daily Defense Facial Lotion SPF 18, Resveratrol Q10 Night Repair Cream, and a couple of items from their other range CannaCell Beauty Oil, CannaCell Pressed Serum and the Purple Carrot + C Luminous Night Cream and Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask from the Brightening range. Phew! Am I a lucky girl or what? I am beyind grateful that I was able to finally test these bad boys out.
Go Natural For Anti-Aging
I used the entire Age Defying range for a month and my skin has been loving me for it. Every single moisturizing product including the beauty oil and pressed serum– is so emollient in a way that I would have never expected from a natural brand. The Ultra Sheer Daily Defense Spf 18 quickly became my favorite product and has totally replaced my current sunscreen. It’s not everyday that many sunscreens work well with darker skin tones, so I was taken aback that the product was not only sheer, but also leaves a lovely glow.
The Age Defying range is fantastic and my skin always feels more plump and hydrated after using it and the best part is that I actually feel good about using these products. I will say the one product that is my least favorite would have to be the Cleansing Milk. While it is so enjoyable to use, it’s not the best item to remove makeup. However, it is gentle enough for morning use just to put a bit of moisture back into your face.
My overall consensus on the brand is that I can say without a shadow of a doubt that each and every single product that I listed is absolutely stunning! I would definitely recommend giving Andalou Naturals products a go if you’re looking for quality, healthier skin care. It’s clear that they’ve put loads of research and thought behind their products and I am definitely impressed!
