We women have an insurmountable amount of beauty products chucked our way daily. From cult favorites to organic and obsessed junkies, serums, moisturizers, cleansing oils, face wash, toners, cleansing balms, micellar water, tonics and treatments and so so much more! Every sort of product is available making the beauty industry so incredibly saturated.
Maybe the beauty industry understands that what women want in products is a lot more complex because we’re all very different as are our hair, skin, and bodies. Some of us prefer a low maintenance beauty care routine, and others swear by a daily 12 step evening ritual. Some enjoy the morning makeup and skin prep and find it their moment of relaxation before the start of the day, while others apply makeup and skin care with a sort of slapdash approach rushing out the door–the point is there are so many options and so many different kinds of products to suit our very different needs and sometimes that can be a little overwhelming especially if you consider yourself somewhere in the middle of that spectrum.
I’m one of those women in the middle and I have always been a lover of a simple and to the point beauty regimen. I live for multipurpose/multi-tasking beauty products because while I am quite careful and diligent with my beauty regimen, sometimes I get overwhelmed with the amount of product I have to scourge through to find a holy grail so it’s nice finding a product/s that have multiple uses especially when I know going to be out all day or away from my many products at home.
That’s precisely why I love the way the beauty industry designs product for men. While there are plenty of men who maintain a daily grooming regimen, most men don’t pay too much attention to it. Products for men are more often than not designed for the man who will spend a short amount of time grooming. Often the products are even packaged in cute little containers or tubes for easy grabbing and going. They are usually multitasking products as well which is a total win. What better to carry with you on your sojourn than a product that triples as a face wash, body wash and shampoo or an oil that you can use it on face, body and hair. I wish more brands would design more multitasking products for the girl on the go. I could definitely use the extra time and hand bag space that would cut down. Here are a few of my favorite multitasking items.
Epic Moisturizer -MP 10 Nourishing Oil
A light oil that sinks into your skin but can also be used on hair. The consistency of this oil is amazing and so satisfying to put on. Holy grail item for sure.
Dr. Bronners Castille Soap
There isn’t anything this soap can’t do apparently. Cleanser, shampoo, body wash, clean anything with it!
Kiehls Mommy & Baby Face and Body Cream
This me might seem a strange purchase if you don’t have a baby, but the amount you get at that price range is a steal! If the product is gentle enough for a baby its safe enough for you.
RMS Raw Coconut Cream
Tripled as a cleanser, moisturizer or mask. A little bit different than your average coconut oil. Comes in a compact container small enough to take with you.
