3 Uber Healthy Low Carb Superfood Juices + Smoothies

So I’m excited to say that I’m back to making my morning juices/smoothies! I will continue to say juice /smoothies throughout this post because I prefer to make my beverage creamy and somewhere in the middle. I’m taking a break from my delicious poached egg on toast as the usual breakfast and sticking to something a little bit lighter in the mornings. Since I’m still working from home I figured I’d change up my diet regimen and drop whatever COVID weight I put on and also incorporate some nutrients I really haven’t been getting.

Breakfast Club?

I’ll start off by saying that I am a breakfast kind of girl for sure. Even when I wasn’t working from home the longest I could wait to have breakfast would be about 10 am. So any notion that I have of trying to fast until lunch was just not going to work. Not that I necessarily want to do that anyway. But I am recognizing that I’ve gotten quite comfortable not having a general diet regimen throughout the work week. And I do say work week because I do in fact make allowances for indulging on the weekends.

Listen To Your Body

Before you tell me to not place any rules on myself and just enjoy everything in moderation–let me just stop you there. I can’t do that. THAT does NOT work for me. The only thing that has worked for my body is reducing carbs as much as possible and sticking to lean protein and veggies. Monday through Friday I absolutely need some sort of guideline for what I will and won’t allow myself to eat. I think it’s important that as individual we do get to understand what works and doesn’t work for our own bodies. I find that for myself with a low carb diet, I not only have more energy, but I feel great and my body is much more forgiving for when I do overindulge.

And having a healthy juices /smoothies that’s also filling has always been a great alternative to breakfast for me. So down below are the three juices that I am currently loving. Not only are they incredibly delicious, but they are so abundant in health benefits. If you find that you have difficulty getting all the nutrients you need in your diet, juices are definitely a great way to get them. If you’re a woman then the chances are very high that you’ve heard about cranberry juice and it’s benefits. Let me start off by saying that you will need pure cranberry and not the kind with a ton of sugar. Cranberry juice has always been a home remedy for dealing with PMS, but if you ever find yourself suffering from a UTI, do yourself a favor and spend 24 hours chugging Cranberry juice and water. It truly is a miracle in itself!
