With its creamy texture and natural sweetness, this keto smoothie bowl is sure to become one of your favorite quick keto breakfast ideas.

Living The Low Carb Lifestyle

Personally, the Ketogenic diet has been the only diet that’s ever really worked for me. After consecutive years of yo-yo dieting and frustration, I was so relieved when I finally found a plan that not only provided me with the results I wanted, but one that also fit my lifestyle.

I do have to put a DISCLAIMER out there; a low-carb lifestyle isn’t necessarily for everyone, especially if you don’t have experience with nutrition and meal prepping.

I always recommend that people start by speaking to their doctor or a professional dietician about the diet before taking the plunge. At the end of the day you have to have the right information and a plan that works for your body.

More importantly once you get to a place of understanding that everyone’s body is different, you’ll see that the keto diet isn’t about restriction or feeling deprived.

It’s about finding a healthy balance between proteins, carbs and fats – and making sure your body is getting what it needs to stay energized and nourished! In fact, there are many diets that focus on healthy fat sources to help maintain dietary goals such as the Nordic and Mediterranean Diet.

Choose What’s Right For Your Body

Even if the ketogenic diet is for you, it’s still a great idea to incorporate healthy fats often in your diet. The ingredients in this smoothie bowl are packed full of healthy fats, fiber and protein which makes it one of my favorite quick breakfast ideas.

Keto has taught me a lot about what my body can and can’t handle. In reality some weeks I might need to really be strict with myself and commit to the low carb, high fat rule.

Some weeks I may loosen up the reigns a bit and just enjoy creating a meal plan centered on protein and veggies and really just a low carb lifestyle which is what I prefer anyway. So finding alternatives to some of the popular dishes circulating social media is a new hobby of mine.

Whether you are on a Keto diet or just living a low carb lifestyle, it’s always great to find low carb indulgent recipes. Not only is this a low carb smoothie bowl, but it’s actually full of the good fats you are suppose to have! From coconut oil to heart hemps and chia seeds–you can put your mind at ease and just enjoy your breakfast!

Keto Breakfast : No Eggs

Eggs are of course an excellent source of protein and a great staple in the diet. There are plenty of other ingredients you can add to make an incredible breakfast bowl. However, not everyone is in the mood for savory breakfasts. A smoothie bowl is a great refreshing breakfast idea and takes no time at all!

There are a lot of keto bowl recipes out there that make the diet particularly easy for me. I have often done keto bowls for breakfast lunch and dinner just because they are so easy to throw together and it doesn’t take a lot of effort.

Many people get the idea that in a ketogenic diet you have to eat eggs for breakfast every single morning. But this isn’t true! There are plenty of healthy, delicious and easy keto recipes.

Cauliflower rice is a fantastic ingredient for noatmeal which is a healthy, low carb oatmeal like bowl. I’ve done this one a few times. I’ve also used cauliflower rice in plenty of lunch bowls too. But definitely a smoothie bowl is my go to keto breakfast.

If you’ve been on the keto diet for a while and need something to mix up your breakfast routine, this is the perfect solution. I for one love a good keto breakfast bowl! It’s easy to make and packs a punch of nutrients.

This smoothie bowl is made with full fat coconut cream which is one of my staple ingredients in most of my smoothies on the keto diet. Coconut oil is another healthy fatty ingredient that will provide your body with energy and help keep you feeling fuller for longer. Not to mention, it’s another fat that will help you meet your macros. To amp up the healthy fats even more you can add MCT oil to your keto recipes.

Coconut cream and coconut milk are both amazing if you want to make a keto ice cream! I once made a delicious minty lemon coconut cream ice cream. It was super simple, tasted great and sugar free too because I did actually use stevia. So there’s a quick sugar free ice cream recipe if you want some keto dessert next time. In general I really do love to find low carb recipes and healthy alternatives to any indulgent meal or dessert.

To give our smoothie bowl a sweet and tarte flavor, I use frozen raspberries. The natural sweetness of the raspberries coupled with the slight tartness makes this smoothie incredibly delicious. I personally like to add some stevia drops to my bowl for some extra sweetness. Greek yogurt is also included in this recipe as it adds a healthy dose of probiotics.

Peanut butter, hemp hearts and chia seeds are added to provide a protein boost, some fiber, texture, as well as a good source of healthy fats. Also just a side note, just about any nut butter will do, just make sure there are no added sugars.

I quite love using almond butter or sun butter on alternate days for no apparent reason other than I love the different tastes. I also love adding some superfood and plant based protein powders to give this smoothie bowl an extra nutrient boost. You could also add some flaxseed for more omega-3 fatty acids.

To make this easy breakfast keto smoothie even easier, I like to freeze my coconut cream and raspberries ahead of time. That way they’re ready to go when you need them! Just throw all your ingredients into a blender, mix it up and you’ve got yourself a delicious and healthy keto breakfast that’s ready in minutes.

Topping wise, you can get creative with whatever toppings you’d like. I like to top my bowl with some more chia seeds and hemp hearts, raw almonds and shredded coconut for an added crunchy texture.

You could also add some more fresh berries for a nice fruity flavor. And don’t be afraid of a little fruit, as long as you are paying attention to your daily macros, you can add some more sweetness to this bowl.
